CSIS Brief: “A Moment of Reckoning for U.S. Leadership on Global HIV”

Friends’ President Chris Collins and Board Member Jeffrey L. Sturchio recently contributed to a CSIS Global Health Policy Center working group on HIV. The results of this working group gave rise to a paper by CSIS that stresses the importance of U.S. leadership on global HIV. The brief highlights priority goals that should be a focus for the Administration and Congress, including:

  • Achieving epidemic control;
  • addressing the needs of adolescent girls and young women;
  • stimulating partner country self-reliance; and
  • developing a vaccine and/or cure
