What is the Global Fund?
The Global Fund is a worldwide partnership to defeat AIDS, tuberculosis (TB) and malaria— the world’s deadliest infectious diseases—and ensure a healthier, safer and more prosperous future for all. It raises and invests up to $5 billion a year to fight these diseases and strengthen health and community systems in more than 100 of the hardest hit countries.

Tuberculosis
In 2023, 10.8 million people fell ill with TB and approximately 1.3 million people died from the disease—that’s one person every 20 seconds since 2002.
Malaria
In 2023, there were 263 million cases of malaria and 597,000 malaria deaths worldwide. Of those deaths, 76% were children under 5.
